On Good Friday, April 6, CNN will broadcast a special on Christianity from 8-9 p.m. EST, the time slot in which “Paula Zahn Now” typically airs. During the interview for the show, Jim Green, Executive Director for the JESUS Film project, talked about how the “JESUS” film has reached people worldwide with the message of Christ.
The special will also include interviews with Tim LaHaye (co-author of the “Left Behind” series) and Paul Lauer (promoted “The Passion of the Christ”). Interestingly, as Executive Director of The JESUS Film Project, Jim was asked the question, “Would you say this movie is measured not by its commercial success, but instead by its spiritual success?”
Join Cherie and I in praying that Christ will be lifted up, and that people will be drawn to our Lord as they watch (John 12:32).

This note was written by Andi to go with a gift for her cousin, Ali.

We appreciate all the gifts that we receive throughout the year from our ministry partners who participate in our ministry through their giving. We know that they are given with the same sentiments in mind.
Thank You!

I remember many things about my friend, Aleksei, when he was a student. He was among the first students we met in Kiev at Kiev Polytech University. He was a new Christian but he was eager to learn. I remember Alesksei played guitar and helped me lead the praise and worship during many student campus meetings. He was always gracious and patient with me as I was still learning Russian and trying to lead singing. (I didn’t always get the stress on the right syllables). He would make me laugh when he would sometimes show up 5 minutes before a meeting and need to tune his guitar.
I was very proud of him, the first time he lead worship at a student conference as a new staff person. But I almost died laughing when he told me that I wouldn’t believe that some of the guys (who were playing with him) would show up at the last minute . . .

He is pictured here – The tall guy in the top row. This was our first summer project group (summer 1993). Aleksei wanted us to come to his home town to share the gospel.
Today, He and his wife, Madeliene are back in Ukraine with their two children. He recently completed seminary studies in the U.S. and is now responsible for the theological training of all of the Ukrainian Campus Crusade staff members. I couldn’t be more proud of him. I count it a privilege to have worked with him during our time in Kiev.

Isaac has taken a fascination with World War II naval battles. He has already checked out all the books in the library (children’s section) on WWII. Recently, he drew some of his favorite battleships.
Particularly, the HMS Hood which was sunk by the German Battleship Bismarck (pictured on the right). And then, of course, the HMS King George V, which was part of sinking the Bismarck.
You can see the other photos by clicking either on the photo or each of the ships names.
